It's 2026 and the Fowler Family Day Committee is in full swing getting ready for the 9th annual Family Day celebration. This year's date is July 18, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at 87 Little York Road, home of the Fowler Playground and Herbert V. Whalen Memorial Pavilion.

The improvements planned for 2025 that include a sidewalk and resurfacing of the basketball court have yet to come to fruition, but we expect them to be completed by July 18, 2026. The committee's focus in the coming year will be on expansion and the addition of equipment to our current playground.

There will be vendors, music, games, food and entertainment for the kids! Raffle tables full of items (all donated) will add to everyone's chances of winning. Last year the small raffles offered nearly 100 prizes.

This year's celebration is dedicated to Highway Superintendent Randy Durham, who passed away this year. While we mourn our loss, we can take solace in the fact that our Fowler Family was there when Randy and his family needed us. Please attend this year not only to honor Randy but also to celebrate the community we live inl

Our Fowler merchants and citizens have again responded to our needs with the following big prize raffle offerings that we feel are inspired by the long brutal winter we have endured:

  • Drawing #1 Honda EU220ITAN Inverter Generator, Donated by N ewvine Auto Parts
